3/23/26 Blog Post 2: Calvert Cliffs

Yesterday me and Kyleigh went to Flag Ponds State Park along the Calvert Cliffs. We were searching for shark teeth and the other Miocene era fossils present, including the elusive Megalodon tooth. For more information about the fossil hunting you can check out my treasure page, but for the rest of this blog post I'll be talking about my overall experience. I really enjoyed the state park, normally we go to Matoaka Beach Cabins, but the beach there has been getting smaller and smaller, with less shark teeth every time we go, so we decided to try the nearby state park since it has a larger beach. It was a beautiful wide beach, but the hike down there was a little tiring and it was very cold, though that's to be expected in early spring. After the hunt for shark teeth, we had dinner at Captain Leonard's Seafood Restaurant. I had the fish and chips owing to my British heritage, while Kyleigh had a pound of crab legs. The hushpuppies was served with a delicious clover honey and was incredible. My fish and chips was delicious, and Kyleigh said her crab legs were among the best she's ever had, though a bit pricy at $42/lb. Overall we both had a wonderful day out at the beach!

3/18/26 Blog Post 1

For the last few hours I've been playing this really cute new game called "Creature Kitchen" which is a fun little cozy cooking sim where you cook for various woodland creatures and cryptids. It was released on February 6th and seems to be really small so far (no wiki for any puzzles!) but it's such a well crafted little game that I found myself grinning from ear to ear while playing it with my fiance. Also it has bonus points for featuring the Fresno Nightcrawler, which is the best cryptid. 10/10
