Over the last few weeks I've been going to the Calvert Cliffs formation in Maryland, full of Miocene era marine fossils. While Kyleigh was mainly focused on shark teeth, searching for the elusive megalodon tooth, I was searching for some of my favourite fossils to find: coral. While we didn't end up finding any megalodon teeth this time, we did find several pieces of coral and a couple crab claws, as well as a several shark teeth (including my second ever tooth!) At first we went to Matoaka Beach Cabins, but we discovered that there wasn't as many shark teeth as there had been in past years, so we decided to go to Flag Ponds State Park, which was where we found the majority of our teeth (less coral though.)
